TRUTH & RECONCILIATION CANADA

A 3ECHO COMMUNICATIONS INC. COMMITMENT STATEMENT

At 3Echo Communications we want to acknowledge the date of September 30th as a day of Truth and Reconciliation in respect for the lives affected and lost in the residential schools. We want to take the time to acknowledge and work together with the first nations people, businesses, and levels of governments to change policies and make a concerted effort to repair the harm and restore the humanity. Our company would like to put forward 3 of the 94 “calls to action”.

15. We call upon the federal government to appoint, in consultation with Aboriginal groups, an Aboriginal Languages Commissioner. The commissioner should help promote Aboriginal languages and report on the adequacy of federal funding of Aboriginal-languages initiatives.

We at 3Echo understand the importance of ensuring the sustainment of languages, we support the First Nations Education Fund (FNEF) , Owls Path and offer our expertise and communication / networking knowledge.

 66. We call upon the federal government to establish multiyear funding for community-based youth organizations to deliver programs on reconciliation and establish a national network to share information and best practices.

We at 3Echo will strive to be an “ally” and support the deployment of networks for future organizations the ability to create reconciliation knowledge bases, cultural change, and open learning. Through our advocacy and efforts building networks to rural and First Nation communities.

87. We call upon the federal government to amend the Physical Activity and Sport Act to support reconciliation by ensuring that policies to promote physical activity as a fundamental element of health and well-being, reduce barriers to sports participation, increase the pursuit of excellence in sport, and build capacity in the Canadian sport system, are inclusive of Aboriginal peoples.

We at 3echo are passionate about sport and what it promotes from leadership, friendships, compassion, and structure. This should be available to all children/people building a stronger “one” culture and inclusivity. I (personally) will work with the baseball organizations that I belong to Tri-City Titans and Pacific Mens Baseball League to adopt inclusivity, expansion, and general knowledge of the aboriginal people. We will also encourage all of our employees to work within the community of sport to enhance the knowledge and actively support this movement.

At 3Echo Communications, our goal is become an ally with FN communities and align our values to reflect our commitment to creating equitable opportunities for all communities

To better understand the culture with all peoples and the land we occupy. Together, we must work to make the change “leave no stone unturned”.

Thank You – Jason Krause and the team at 3Echo.
